I never said he was liberal, only leaned that way because he wanted his business ventures to be supported by progressives. The Right wasn't about to buy an electric car, no matter how many features and accolades it got. The pandemic saw a profound switch to a more open embrace of capitalism and the Right in defiance of the necessary lockdown measures.

At least there are 35 Senator Seats up for election in 2026 and 20 are Republican. But it will take a lot of people who voted Trump in 24 to vote for Democrats in 26.

36 States will be electing a Governor in 26, so that is also hopeful. It looks like these are split with 18 Republicans held states up.

So if these elections all happen, Trump could be repudiated, but I'm not holding my breath on this one.
