Voat

Hello.

I recently signed up to Voat, thinking it was similar to Reddit. The UI is similar, but (from what I can see) it's like the missing chromosome faction of Reddit congregate there and troll at their own shadow. Admittedly I haven't inspected the place thoroughly, but it was a pretty disappointing first reaction.

Does it have any redeeming features? Because I'm about ready to delete and move on.

I voated back in November, but it didn't do much good.

I made a Voat account in order to follow the Pizzagate emails--a lot of people from reddit also went there after it was revealed that the site admin at reddit not only can but does edit other people's posts. A lot of it's crazy coocoo but there are some interesting bits here and there, takes some winnowing though. And there's basically no overarcing moderation so shit that ain't popular doesn't get disappeared.
