Millennials are too lazy to eat cereal

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/...-inconvenient/

What the heck is wrong with the current generation of young people? They're too lazy and entitled and they're always staring at their smart phones.

So they grab breakfast bars instead? So do millions of adults. It saves cleaning out the bowl when you're on the run to work or class.

How old are you again? Get back to us when you have a lawn.

This is like the telephone game. The New York Times reports on a survey. FoxNews gives it a slant and you make it even more pejorative.

The original article says:
Quote:
Younger consumers are not as attached to cold cereal for breakfast as their forebears, analysts and cereal makers agree. They either don’t eat breakfast at all, or eat it somewhere other than home. And when they do eat breakfast, a bowl of cold cereal is often replaced by hot grains, smoothies, yogurt or breakfast sandwiches.
. . .
Locally made granola, protein bars and hot cereals like congee or oatmeal are popular.
Cold cereal is way more expensive than hot cereal or many other alternatives. Cold cereal is also less nutritious than many alternatives. It's not all about washing the bowl. It's about balancing off the expense, the time and the nutrition.

Anybody who's too lazy to rinse a bowl is too lazy to drive a stick. Do car-makers even make "standard" transmissions anymore?

Oh yeah. For a few years, stick Civics were always on the most stolen list. Entry level compacts tend to have issues with automatic transmissions.

Haven't had a Fiat Chrysler Dodge Jeep in about 8 years that hasn't had quasi "Automatic Manual free shift". An auto trans that you can speed shift through....no clutch...I still take my foot off he gas when I shift it, though.... question is, must one do that with this auto trans configuration? I would really like to know and don't want to experiment and throw out my transmission?

Millenials are too lazy to eat cereal: yet McDonald's oatmeal is still a "new" and perennial big seller. Flapjacks don't seem like a drive through food either, yet they were included on the new anytime breakies McD's due to their potential as one of McDonald's best sellers.
