Thanks! I got the idea from the first season finale of Face Off. The contestants had to create a scene from a twisted fairy tale, and one of them did post-apocalyptic Little Red Riding Hood. I went with the severed wolf's head so I could do a solo costume.
Great costume!

I'd like to see Snow White carrying the Evil Queen's head around. Maybe with an apple stuffed in the queen's mouth?

How does one acquire a severed wolfs head anyway?
And has anyone seen Fenris lately? :watch:

I for real know someone who has one. He was a pet and lives draped over the banister.

Grandpa had a wolf head and a polar bear head. Both still attached to their hides, and living prominently in front of the fireplace in his den.

What's really randomly bizarre is that my friend Jesse also dressed as Little Red Riding Hood with a severed wolf head. I've never seen anyone do it before and now, TWO!

Had I known, I could have registered one and then mailed it to you -- a wolf got hit in traffic in front of me last year.

For the last Rocky shows (8 PM and midnight on Halloween) I did a...bird...thing. Feathers on the headpiece were mostly ones sent to me by Dragonlady. The makeup was a lot of fun to do. The other person in the photo is one of the Rocky phantoms, sans wig.

Awesome costume, Mle!! This year I was a total slug and did absolutely nothing. The earrings and the necklace go well with the feathers.

Ooo, I like that idea. A realistic head may be tougher to pull off, but it's doable. I'll have to post a tutorial for the wolf head at some point. (It's just a cheap rubber mask pulled over a paper maché head with a bisected ping pong ball for the eyes. It takes a couple of days to dry, but it's fairly simple to assemble.)

Pons, I love your friend's version. Great minds think alike (or at least watch the same TV shows ).

mle, you are rocking those feathers! The makeup looks fantastic, too. You have very pretty eyes.

Yorikke, sometimes people who loose vast amounts of weight look thin, but they don't look good. They look droopy, or scrawny, or unhealthy. For the amount of weight you've lost so quickly, you look good. Really good. Healthy. Like you were never heavy in the first place. That is the best possible outcome.

Thanks :-) I'm still plenty fat, don't you worry. My face is keeping a sort of normal look, but my body is really showing the weight loss more.
